This cabin is the perfect haven for those looking for a quiet fishing getaway, those who want a nice place to cool off and relax, or those who simply want to sit on the porch and rock their worries away while listening to the beautiful sounds of flowing water. Alarka Creek Hideaway is located in a gated community just 6.5 miles away from downtown Bryson City where you will find many shopping and dining opportunities. Enjoy browsing throughout our local boutique shops, local art galleries, or the many handmade mountain crafts that you just will not find anywhere else.
There is also plenty to find close by for adventure and relaxation. If you want adrenaline pumping adventure, you'll enjoy rafting or kayaking on the Nantahala, biking on Tsali, ziplining at the Nantahala River Gorge, or tubing down Deep Creek. If sight-seeing is more up your alley, you'll definitely enjoy cruising the Great Smoky Mountain National Park or Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking along Deep Creek's trails, horse back riding, riding the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, or renting a boat for a day on Lake Fontana. Thanks to the staff that helped us get back into the cabin after I locked us out.

Was a beautiful part of the world and so glad we stayed a couple of days here. Very close to white water rafting and the zip line. Plus lots of nature walks as well.
So loved the little creek running in front of our cabin and was so relaxing just to sit on the porch and listen or in the hot tub.

The stay was delightful. The stream in the back of the cabin was so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was very clean. It was just as the website portrayed. It was a nice "unplugged" weekend away from the world. We would definitely book again (we just know to take our foam mattress topper next time).

The "booking" online was seamless and the confirmation emails were timely and informative. The virtual tour photos were exactly as the cabin was portrayed and helped one to make an appropriate selection.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in a cozy and "home-y" cabin in the North Carolina mountains. A visitor would need to be aware to take heed of the serpentine or switchback access road. It was nice to have been able to get away to cooler summer temperatures, and the background sound of the rushing creek was relaxing when sitting on the back porch, using the barbecue grill or utilizing the hot tub.

After several stressful weeks at work, I needed somewhere to unwind and disconnect from the craziness of daily life. Within a few hours of arriving, I was able to take my first deep breath and relax and enjoyed every minute I was there. By the following morning, I was disappointed we hadn't made our reservation for longer.
